Learn how your body moves and how to train for the activities that matter — whether you are coming back from an injury or building strength for the next season.
You have been told to rest, stretch, exercise more, or accept that this is just getting older. The questions underneath it never got answered.
Why am I fine while I play and sore the next morning?
Why does the same injury keep coming back?
Why do I hurt in places I never injured?
Why was I cleared and still do not feel ready?
Most training asks how to stop the feeling. We start somewhere else:
Why might this be happening?
When you understand the cause, you can make a better next move.
Training should help you enjoy your life — not take it over. It should prepare you to:
The goal is not to spend your life preparing to live. The goal is to use training so you can live more fully.
Training prepares your body for the activities that matter most to you — walking without fear, playing the back nine without stiffness, getting up off the floor with your grandchildren, or getting through a heavy travel week without your back going out.
Our coaches guide you so you have a better understanding of your body, and provide a plan of action.
The Discover your Life through Movement system.
Before changing your body, you must be willing to learn. This map helps you clear the runway, become more coachable, and develop the courage to try something new.
Healing begins with a vision. This map helps you understand what you are moving toward and what you no longer want to repeat.
Movement is something you can learn — through primers that prepare your body, patterns that organize movement, and positions that build strength and control.
Your Training is connected to the rest of your life. This Map identifies key components of your training. The 8 Essentials — Belief, Purpose, Relationships, Rest/Recovery, Prayer/Meditation/Breath, Nourishment, Get Outside, and Movement — organize your personal training.

Now as a practicing Chiropractor, I understand the value of solid, functional, safe personal training. It took me 1.5 years to find fully qualified trainers in the North Shore area, and Sean and Alex with Twice as Fit are IT!"
"Alex re-educates my movement patterns and develops specific exercises for my physical needs. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and personable, and brings integrity and passion to every training session."
"Sean and Alex with Twice as Fit truly understand the brain-body connection and how to help anyone."
Twice as Fit Squared was founded by twin brothers Alexander and Sean Courtney in 2012. Our work grew from our own experiences with sports, injury, pain, learning, and personal development.
We discovered that many people were being given exercises without being taught how to understand their bodies. We wanted to create a different experience — one built around education, where people could ask questions, where training could happen anywhere.
Today, we help people develop the knowledge, movement skills, and self-respect needed to take greater ownership of their physical lives.
A community built on education, movement, and showing up for one another.
