Stability is a great concept for every person and exerciser to consider, especially with the New Year here! We could all use more Stability in our lives! Hint hint – New Year’s Goals!
Wellness Professionals are constantly helping clients/patients with Mobility gains and improvements. But where do we go from there? What do we do with our new found Ranges?
Stability, simply put, is our ability to change direction and control range of motion. we are CONSTANTLY switching directions, whether you are an athlete or a grandparent. Without it, Mobility is hard to control, and too much of it leaves us feeling tense. The silver lining is understanding when we transform from Mobility to Stability, and visa versa. Every movement we perform requires both.
When we increase Mobility, we have to give a client an equal amount of control to maintain balance. If we don’t keep this balance, further issues can be caused, and clients can actually get worse.
Knowing our clients helps us find balance with movement and allows us to keep progressing and pushing forward. Twice as Fit is carrying a lot of good momentum from 2017, we plan to keep it going in 2018; come and join us!
