Spring is upon us, and are we ready for summer to be here! Twice as Fit has been training, studying, and working diligently to get everyone ready for their summer fun. Now is the time of year to dust off the cobwebs and start moving! We have developed Golf, Running, and Soccer programs for team and individual implementation.

When the weather gets cold and dreary, it is easy to forget about Fitness Goals, we get it. All we need is a little momentum to get the ball rolling. Need some help? Education – The Ultimate GIFT

The Ultimate GIFT – Twice as Fit is taking the leap! GIFT is a Fellowship in Movement provided by the Gray Institute. Twice as Fit wants to keep learning, growing, and transforming for ourselves and our clientele. We believe that movement, just like life, is a dynamic experience.

We believe if we create an engaging, fun learning experience for our clients, clients will be more likely to adapt fitness as a lifestyle. Its just like brushing your teeth, a little bit of exercise each day goes a long way! If we have fun while doing it, it doesn’t seem as rigorous or formal. We ALL want to have fun and enjoy what we do. We appreciate and are so grateful for our journey, as we plan to continue uplifting people and showing people how awesome they truly are. You already possess success, lets find it together!

Small Group Training – Synergy

Twice as Fit has officially started Synergy – Small Group Training! We wanted to start 2018 off to a fresh new start. Our classes will be focusing on Teamwork, Fun, and Sweating! We want to bring Functional Movement to a Group Exercise setting so we can keep impacting our clients’ in a profound manner. We also want to keep the classes small (no more or less than 3) so you get more one on one attention. 2018 will bring new frontiers, challenges, and adventures – are you ready? We want to get your ready!

Stability – A Piece of the Pie

   Stability is a great concept for every person and exerciser to consider, especially with the New Year here! We could all use more Stability in our lives! Hint hint – New Year’s Goals!

   Wellness Professionals are constantly helping clients/patients with Mobility gains and improvements. But where do we go from there? What do we do with our new found Ranges?

   Stability, simply put, is our ability to change direction and control range of motion. we are CONSTANTLY switching directions, whether you are an athlete or a grandparent. Without it, Mobility is hard to control, and too much of it leaves us feeling tense. The silver lining is understanding when we transform from Mobility to Stability, and visa versa. Every movement we perform requires both.

   When we increase Mobility, we have to give a client an equal amount of control to maintain balance. If we don’t keep this balance, further issues can be caused, and clients can actually get worse.

   Knowing our clients helps us find balance with movement and allows us to keep progressing and pushing forward. Twice as Fit is carrying a lot of good momentum from 2017, we plan to keep it going in 2018; come and join us!

3D Maps – A Powerful Performance System

3D Maps is rocking the exercise industry!  Revolutionized by the Gray Institute and created by the human body, 3D Mapping packs a powerful punch. A Movement consultation should resemble your personal exercise goals. For example, If Sean’s goal is to walk better, then I am going to use a 3D Maps Walk Matrix to assess his movement. Our assessment should be our exercise, but our exercise is our assessment too. The 3D Maps Assessment is malleable by nature, which paves the way for individualization.

This performance system allows the movement professional to observe how every joint in the body is moving through six different movements. 3D Mapping involves each plane of motion – Sagittal, Frontal, Transverse, and combinations. Not only is it time efficient, but the plethora of information it provides is priceless. The movements involved are global, involving the ENTIRE body. Movements can also be modified to be more local to emphasize a specific joint.
